Riders of Icarus to receive Ranger’s Fury update this December
Nexon have announced that their open beta MMORPG, Riders of Icarus, will receive the Ranger’s Fury content update on the 15th December. This new update will increase the level cap to 50, introduce a new zone, 9 new mounts to capture and the first new character class. Watch the Ranger’s Fury update trailer below…
The upcoming Ranger’s Fury update will introduce the Ranger (what gave it away) as a new playable character class. Rangers are able to use a special dark power to augment their abilities. Rangers work as Shadow Agents for the Onyx Order and are part of the forces loyal to the Hakanas Kingdom. The Ranger has two different combat styles, they can use the bow for long range combat or the vambrace to get in close combat.
The new Cloying Wastes zone is a large desert zone with plenty of secrets and dangers to keep players occupied for a good while. As soon as players reach level 40 they can begin to explore this area and find the new mounts to tame. These new mounts include the Longhorn Bajarn, Matura, Panos, Poyo, Shakiba, Trinoceros, Tolus, Vegarus and Voknos. The Cloying Wastes include several new factions including the Alseik guard, the Griffin Knights and a town populated by disillusioned heroes.
Key areas to explore in the Cloying Wastes include the collapsing Temple of Sands – a temple dedicated to the demigod, Skatrasha and which is now occupied by the Khabim Brotherhood, and the Fortress of Sorrows – a near impregnable citadel where the Fallen Legion organization are based.
